Class 45(driven as 2nd man)I liked them as a kid

but gotta be class 56 as favourite..the noise and power! or,close 2nd 50's..had the privilege of working on all 50 of them as a 2nd man,and driving them Waterloo-Exeter or return,or simply ferrying from Waterloo-Old oak common..either trip was nice!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
1) 56
2) 37

4) 43 Valenta ( waits for fab442 to have a go  )

-Class 47 (especially 47170/47582/47733) It was a superb type 4.
-Class 56
-Class 37
-Class 20
-BR class 9F (The final & best steam loco ever)
-LMS Black 5 (even though I'm GWR at heart I love the 5's & as a Salop driver I would have to. My depot's drivers in the late 60's pushed their class 5's beyond what was ever expected. I believe 98mph was the best recorded speed by the salop driver who broke the Gobowen to Salop record. I have managed to beat it with a 158 but that was giving it death & the 70mph linespeed we now have)

Fave loco? got to be class 33, no prizes for guessing my particular favourite 8)

After the 33s my list would probably be

Western
2095 (Austria)
001 or A class (Ireland)
103 (Germany), the latter being the only class of electric loco that I have ever gone out of my way to "bash".

Apart from these, there are loads of other loco types all over Europe that I enjoy - and quite a few that are to be avoided <D

I still love the days when my beloved Class 142 powers a 750 ton Coal Train up Shap Summit HELLFIRE.

This is actually quite hard..!
a) Class 60
b) Class 56
c) Class 67
d) Class 37
e) Class 59
I know your probably wondering about the 60 at the top and even a mention of the 59 but I was brought up with them and have certainly become 'attached' to the 60s and 59s.
