Fatality at Elstree

Someone has been hit by a 222 heading Southbound at Elstree and Borehamwood Station.

Having just passed it, they're still cleaning off the front of the train.

There was another this morning at the infamous Upton Nervet crossing.

It's that time of year, when you get an increase of suicides.

With all of the bills coming in from Xmas & S.A.D, some people just can't take anymore.

One of the Lads from my depot would have been on the 0521 rdg bedwyn train, the fatality at ufton iam just going into work i,ll find out if he or she is ok

Reports of someone being treated by the lineside causing delays between Brighton and Bedford.

Not a good day for Thameslink services.

With regards the usual complaints about posting about fatalities, the information is widely available on NRES so I do not see the harm.

Apparantly the media named last Friday as Black Friday. The day most are depressed over failed new year resolutions, skint, short days etc

Not surprised there is an upturn in suicides this time of year.

222016 was the unit involved, its how got a great big hole missing out the front of it between the lights. was left sitting in the goods road at cricklewood for all and one to see.
asylumxl there are still some residual delays and stock displacment, just the one incident today the one at elstree.

This is a most difficult post for me. I am not involved in the rail industry, merely interested in public transport. But I have to state that the fatality at Elstree was my brother-in law. I have no reason to believe that any other family member will visit this forum but can I ask for consideration to be given in any further post. Meanwhile, my sympathy goes out to the driver, the witnesses, the emergency services and I guess the thousands who would have been indirectly inconvenienced by this tragedy.
