Was one earlier by Cam & Dursley. 1V52 0750 Bewick to Plymouth. Caped BPW 133L
As a result
1E73 1725 Plymouth - Leeds is cancelled throughout as 1V54 was cancelled at Gloucester and ran ECS 5Z54 to Exeter.
1625 Plymouth - Leeds is starting at Exeter St Davids as 1E63 1722 EXD - LDS
1725 Plymouth - Leeds starting at Exeter St Davids as 1E73 1822 EXD - LDS
Thoughts are with the driver, the Victims family and staff at the scene

Yep, heard about the Cam & Dursley one earlier. Thoughts are with the driver. Local trains are not serving Cam & Dursley, however Yate is still being served. Replacement bus in operation to/from Cam & Dursley.

There has been an incident this afternoon, I have heard Poynton and Macclesfield and mixed messages if its a fatality or not but there has been quite a bit of disruption. Thoughts as always are with those involved.
There were initial reports of a fatality just south of Leicester yesterday, at Knighton Tunnel - but fortunately it turned out that nobody was hit, and it was just a trespass incident. It still caused a great deal of disruption - and I'm sure it was still an unpleasant incident for the driver involved.

There was a trespass incident affecting trains via Redhill earlier. I have heard no reports of any injuries, however.

It is from last year
So it would seem that the number of UK rail suicides per capita is not particularly exceptional compared to other EU countries. Although I'm not sure whether I believe the data for Belgium.
Data for Switzerland would be interesting, given it leads the world in per capita usage, which might point to a high rate, but they also have more access to guns and euthanasia, which might reduce rail suicides.

Why so high for Germany? Consistently about 4 times higher than UK numbers and well ahead of all other EU countries in that graph, with figures borne out in academic articles (e.g., Lukaschek et al., 2014, BMC Public Health, quotes approx 2.5/day or 65/month). Does Germany have a much larger rail network? Is suicide by rail more engrained in the German psyche, or is access to the tracks less controlled in Germany? Very strange - I wouldn't have thought that suicide modality would vary so much across populations.

Pressure to succeed financially and in work is it more pronounced in capitalist society? The lowest rates are Scandinavian who maybe a less judgmental and fairer society and are consistently at the top of the ''best places to live'' polls even with it's high taxation and Beer Prices ?
Or is it that the top three have the highest population?

Another one this evening on the B&H at Ufton Crossing near Theale.
A graphic photo of this incident appeared on twitter, BTP are looking into it but it is not clear whether any offence has been committed but clearly there are moral issues.
Update -looking at RealTime Trains, it appears that SWT has dealt with the consequences for the rest of the day magnificently. Looks like everyone got home without too much delay, except for the train involved, of course.
