It does look a bit strange where you got the bit between the lights under the multiple connector painted black, as it makes it look as if the light clusters are just hanging there lol.

We've asked Big Jim on RMweb, Fastline 56 and soon to be 66 Driver, to buy some RailMatch paint, and every time he's on the Sheds, add a inch of warning panel paint until he gets to the buffers!!! ;) ;)

I reckon Jim will be too busy breaking them than painting them, I know him all too well! ;)

Well lets hope not... I've only seen that working once, and I hope its not my last! :???: 56's are better than 66's anyway <D

Lets hope we see some down South sooner or later. I dont believe they have any contracts down this way (apart from that Grain one) but one might accidently wind up at Dollands Moor :)

In theory the 56s should stay on the Intermodels and the 66s should stay with the Coal traffic although...

The way these 56s have been failing and almost being constantly late, as soon as one fails and Fastline have to send a 66 to rescue it, maybe once they realise how reliable they are - who's knows what will happen.

It's quite unlikely a 66 won't make its way on to either 4O60/4O90 at some point, given the track record of the 56s. Unless 56311 is hired again.

Yeah, thing is... 56's are getting a tad old, and will soon be living on borrowed time, so maybe if Fastline decide to purchase a few more Yingers, the 56's will be completely replaced. Would be a shame... theres too many sheds in the UK!

I doubt the Fastline grids are on borrowed time, after the overhauls they got. And now EWS are selling off some 56s you can probably see a few more on the mainline. :)

If Derby are maintaining the 66s aswell don't expect them to be any more reliable!

Both grids have been bang on time this week, and don't forget 303 managed some three months of daily use last summer without failing...top loco.

I have only ever seen one 56, and that is 56303. I must say, I was impressed with its display at Wandsworth Road.

No doubt some will end up with DRS.

I doubt DRS would want anymore locos on there roster, only another class to get trained on. Plus they have 57s which can do a 56s job. I was thinking more Hanson Traction, or new Freight spot hire companys.

Out of the 3 56s 301 is the better out of the 3, it's stupidly powerful even if you just want to pootle along, all hell breaks loose <D
