FastJP bug report

I ideally want to do Crewe -(via Stoke)- Stafford -(via Trent Valley)- Rugby -(via Northampton)-London Southbound since I haven't used those routes that way before.
But I can't get trainsplit to show this for me, except for a weird overnight itinerary.

I just want 09:33 to Stafford (via Stoke) arriving 10:15, 10:32 to Rugby arriving 11:26, then 11:46 to Euston (via Northampton) - realtime trains links used.

If it wasn't a valid route surely it'd not give me an itinerary at all?

Thanks.
I've been able to find itineraries with either Stone or Northampton, but not both.

Checking on the routing guide it's all part of map LC (Cheshire-London including any London North Western Railway route)

I can get that itinerary with the following link - forcing the two change points, and also forcing a stop at Alsager

I don't have an answer for why:
  1. Your query behaved as weirdly as it did - clearly the requirements were met on earlier itineraries
  2. The stop at Alsager is required, otherwise it skips it despite the fact your itinerary is non-overtaken compared to the 09:52 -> 13:23 it does suggest the 09:52 departure with those changes does arrive at the same time, 13:23, as getting the 09:33; I got mixed up as the 18th July in the TrainSplit link has an arrival on 1323, whereas the 22nd August as linked on RTT is 1317. So without the Alsager stop it'll correctly just surface the later itinerary that overtakes the 09:33 one.
Hopefully someone there might see this who can shed more light, and I'll try and remember to raise it when I speak to them later

The issue relates to combining multiple via points for slow/convoluted journeys, but also with TOC restrictions.

You could try something like this:

(Stop at Alsager, change Stafford, via NMP, max 2 changes; on the next page the guid in the URL was 8004b6b1-694d-8bf0-9edb-bd239e0f78ef if that helps anyone)
