I believe that it's now an appropriate time to create a new ranking.

According to John Heaton's 0-60 column in Rail Express Magazine, the Merseyrail 777s are the quickest for DC at just 31s to 60mph, bearing their 507 predecessors by 42s and the previous third rail 0-60 holder, the Class 465, by 38 seconds.
