Farnham to Waterloo - Ascot platform

Feel free to move to a different thread if appropriate. I have been catching the Farnham to Waterloo train (departs Camberley at 6:47) and on each occasion it has arrived into and departed from platform 2 (instead of the usual 1) at Ascot. Does anyone know why this might be?

It shows as a platform change at Ascot and appears to also be a change from what the RTT default is.

Looking at RealTimeTrains everything coming off the Camberley road (and heading on towards London) is using p2 at the moment. That would suggest a problem with the trailing points those services would normally encounter when entering p1. They me be temporarily 'plain lined' / C&P (locked in lay-mans terms) for UP services from the Reading direction only? Just a guess.
