Farnborough to Arlesey

I wish to make a day return from Winchester to Arlesey this Saturday, arriving approximately 11am, returning 6pm and breaking my journey in London on the return trip. I have an annual Gold Card, Winchester to Farnborough.

An off peak day return, Farnborough to Arlesey is £22.20, but I'm trying to see if I can reduce this at all. The best I have come up with is a Super Off Peak Travelcard from Farnborough (£13.80) and an Off Peak Day return Hadley Wood (last station from which a Travel card is valid) to Arlesey (£7) making a total of £20.80 I'm assuming this would be valid for train which don't stop at Hadley Wood, as I have a season ticket covering part of the journey. Can anyone see a way of improving on this?

Farnborough-Boundary Zone 6 (£6.75)
Zone 1-6 Travelcard (£5.60)
Boundary Zone 6-Arlesey (£7.00)

Total = £19.35

Don't know if there is anything cheaper, but you can't find any 'Boundary Zone' fares on Websites. Having a boundary zone fare means your train doesn't have to stop where the tickets change over, if you have a named station (officially) it would (if you don't have a season ticket).

Thanks for the suggestion, but I didn't think you were able to get ticket from a station outside the boundary zone to the boundary, only from the boundary zone?

Generally speaking it is only from, but some places do now have fares to the boundary zones.
