Does anyone know how fares will be set for journeys to/from Bromsgrove once the Cross City line serves it? There are significant price differences between some journeys to/from Redditch and journeys to/from Bromsgrove, presumably for historical and fare-setter reasons. I suppose it would be too much to hope that prices to Bromsgrove would go down?

There will need to be new fares created for journeys between Bromsgrove and Longbridge/Bournville etc - how do they get worked out?

Fares for journeys between Bromsgorve & Longbridge/Bournville already exist, with the easement allowing a double back via University due to the very limited calls at Barnt Green. I would imagine when the Cross City Line serves Bromsgrove that easement will cease to exist

Thanks. I hadn't noticed the fare to Longbridge existed until I looked at brfares.com - the National Rail app doesn't show it.

It probably means that for many long distance journeys from Bromsgrove, splitting at Longbridge (or Barnt Green, if Cross City line trains from Bromsgrove will stop there) could lead to significant savings. Which doesn't make much sense but I guess isn't unusual.
