Hi guys, hope you can help.

Need the cheapest single fare for two adults between Gatwick and Heathrow. Both passengers have Priv passes.
No buses or Piccadilly line as the service is suspended. Payment for cross London transfer isn't required.

Quotes for both Connect & Express if Priv is valid?

Hope someone can help!

I believe that priv is valid on Heathrow Express.

Cheapest tickets would be :

SDS Gatwick - London Terminals Not Gatwick Express £3.65

SOS London Paddington - Heathrow Rail £5.00

If just wanting to use Heathrow connect then it's only £2.40 single between Paddington & Heathrow

Plus the transfer between stations in London. Fares various, and not to hand, depending on route and method.

SDS Gatwick - London St Pancras Not Underground is only £2.50.

If the passengers have TfL travel passes, they could travel to Ealing Broadway and save a few more pennies: Ealing Broadway-Heathrow SDS is £1.85.

No they wouldn't. Gatwick Airport to London Bridge route Southern Only is £2.25 on Priv, although there aren't many through trains so it's usually necessary to change at East Croydon. 25p more for FCC only which is faster.

I know the OP said no buses, but Gatwick-Feltham Not Via London is £3.65, and it's only 15 mins on the bus from there to either central or T4.

Also, why are there Southern Only fares for the Gatwick Airport - Heathrow Rail flow? These appear to be valid on HEX...

A similar question has come up before. Basically, fares to Heathrow Rail are derived from fares to London Terminals, with a set add on. So when there is an operator specific fare to London Terminals, there will be an operator specific fare to Heathrow Rail. Presumably the operator restriction only applies from the origin, in this case Gatiwck Airport, and London Terminals, as otherwise the ticket will have no validity to Heathrow.
