Hi,

Hopefully I'm not seeing things

Using London Midland for finding tickets

From Cheltenham Spa to Worcester Shrub Hill on 4th March on the 09:48 1 Adult 1 16-25 RailCard, Single fare.

According to the ticket system its £12 with the Railcard or £7.50 without.

Appears the same on other sites including Virgin & First Great Western any one else see this, or is it just me? Seems a bit of an odd price

Probably what you will find on this service is that full discount on 16-25 railcard does not apply until after 10am, minimum fare before 10am is £12.
The system is applying the minimum fare automatically, even on fares under £12.

I'd agree it's because of the minimum fare which exists before 10am for the 16-25 railcard.

Also the LM great escape is valid on Friday after 9:30,which might be worth a look into if you plan to make any more LM journeys that day

Yes, some of the planners do show the minimum price as the railcard option, even where the ticket costs less. I wonder if anyone's ever purchased one...

Unfortunately the OP's journey isn't LM -they're just using the LM website.
