Yep and Will become a fright Diversion as i think thats what they have to do as they will be connected to 2 mainline stations.

It would be great if the Wensleydale Railway was fully restored, as 1 round trip of the line would be 82 miles. At this point they have 22 miles restored, but only operate 16 miles of track.

For me it would have to be the East Lincolnshire line from Grimsby to Boston. Followed closely by Matlock to Buxton, then back to the lincs lines with the Louth to Bardney branch and the old new line that passed through Conningsby, Tumby Woodside, and New Bolingbroke etc.....

Can I be a bit cheeky and say the Somerset & Dorset?

On a serious note, I would like the Avon Valley to be extended. The track bed is more or less there right through to Stapleton Road, but at the other end it becomes a problem beyond Newbridge (the western extremity of Bath). In fact, I have it on good authority (by which I mean from the AVR themselves) that BaNES council are interested in them extending the route through to Newbridge for Park & Ride usage. However, citizens of Bristol aren't so enthusiastic; otherwise, the line would have already hit Warmley.

It is supposed to happen, see some of the above remarks, I think they firstly want to get into Northallerton, then extend westwards from Redmire to Hawes and Garsdale, and if all that was by steam it would be great.

I think I would go for Leighton Buzzard to Dunstable operated by a bubble car, or the Woodhead Route.

The ex-NLL from Stratford to North Woolwich is a fascinating line, as was the Silvertown Tramway.

Was there not take of making N Woolwich toward Silvertown a steam heritage line, I don't know if it's still there but I think there was a small rail museum at N Woolwich Stn?

Recently been thinking a lot about Strathaven - Darvel. Thinking somewhat realistically, probably running as far as Drumclog (4 miles) isn't too bad. Fantasy-wise, running all the way to Darvel.

How about the M&GN from Yarmouth to North Walsham and the N&S onwards to Cromer and Sherringham: might be a bit of contention over the track/road bed here and there but that would help make it fantastic.

Wensleydale seem to struggle with the amount of track they have now? ive heard they have many 10mph speed restrictions due to quality of track.
