One I forgot to tell about is Frank Carsen on a Class 442 from Bournemouth to London back in 1991.
I was staying at the Wessex Hotel in Bourneouth and at the time I was moving into the area to work for a local Building Society as a Computer Operator, anyway it was one of my rotored days off so decided to go into London. I was just going to get into my taxi, when Frank Carsen asked if I would share it with him to which I said yes and ended up travelling with him into London Waterloo.
Here was at the Wessex Hotel for a New Year's party as a performer. Anyway the best part is that the night before when Frank arrived, I was chatting to the receptionists telling jokes and said 'It is the well I tell them". Just as looked behind me I then saw Frank Carson....
It did take the micky out of me the next morning at Breakfast for what I did the day before, but did it with a lot of funny charm which even made me laugh about the situation.

I'm sitting on a Pendo (no it isn't 054) heading for Euston ex. Liverpool Lime Sreet right now, with actor George Layton. 
In the 1980s, I once shared a bottle of red wine with Alex Higgins on an old LHCS Mk III set heading out of Euston to Manchester. That lasted as far as Watford Junction, when he started on the whisky and I bowed out as gracefully as I could!

Jack Charlton (twice, Doncaster station car park & Newcastle Central, James Dean Bradfield (Manics), Leeds Utd (before their fall from grace), Roy Wood (Wizard) on a Sheff-Pancras, afew others. Most recent was Jimmy Carr at Waverley.
The one that really stands out was Paul Gascoigne on a GNER HST from Peterborough.
