Family railcard

When there are 2 adults and 1 child (aged 3) travelling together only the adults need tickets. But is it possible to buy 2 adults + 1 child with a family railcard as this is cheaper?

According to the eligibility rules on http://www.familyandfriends-railcard.co.uk/are-you-eligible/eligibility

However, if the only child in the group is under five, you'll need to purchase a discounted child ticket to qualify for the adult Railcard discount.

So it looks like you will be fine if you buy the little'un a ticket.

Yep absolutely fine, and it means they can legitimately occupy a seat too.
