Falkirk Higher.

My train has recently stopped at Falkirk High, to be greeted with two construction workers moving the station signs. One tiny one reads "Falkirk High". An adjacent taller one reads "Falkirk Higher."

Its very nice to see that someone has a sense of humour!

The name of the former could just as easily be construed as alluding to a seedy part of town, where drug addicts congregate !

I like the signs, quite funny, but at the risk of being a miserable git, Thurso station has been missing its "Welcome to Thurso" sign from the top of the train-shed for well over a year after it was blown down in a storm.

I'm slightly miffed that they have the money for these which will be removed after the games but nothing for a sign at a station which is grim enough as it is. I have written to ScotRail but I've had no reply yet.

Gosh that is quite "Meldrew-esque!"
