Failed MMI interview

Hi all,

recently I failed my MMI interview after passing all the previous tests etc,

I felt as if the interview went quite well but obviously this wasnt the case. Has anyone got any tips on making my 2nd visit easier in 6 months time?

I would also recommend reading the link below and getting as many of the words their looking for in your responses. After reading the below, you may even think of alternatives to use for your next MMI

I read that and found it extremely handy for my MMI and certain it helped.

Find out which question or questions you failed on, i think with the mmi sometimes its luck with who you get on the day, i failed 1st attempt and went back 1 year later and gave the same answers, just a few tweaks to how i worded the answer to the question i failed on. My 2nd MMI was with a young guy and it was a relaxed interview, we were talking about football before the interview started.

Thanks for that, I was the same I had an oldish bloke and was talking about rugby beforehand etc, any hopefully I’ll have someone more lenient next time!

Thanks a lot, just waiting for feedback, apparently there’s a 4 week waiting list for feedback at the moment so I assume quite a few have failed recently! I’ll ready through that once I have my feedback. Thanks

Do you have any inkling what question it was? Can you remember the interviewer probing about a particular aspect?

I too failed the first time although I knew where I went wrong and this is because I said something a bit silly out of nervousness.

Hopefully you will get feedback and will be able to smash it the second time round.

He did seem to ask me a lot more questions overall about the first topic I did so maybe that’s where I went wrong. Hopefully!!
