Failed at the final stage , Engineer/shunter

Absolutely gutted , I passed my online test , the first day psychometric tests tea-occ group bourdon etc.
Then attended an interview with two managers and was successful.
Yesterday I had my driver assessment passed all the tests , two hand , vigilance, situational judgement etc

But failed narrowly on the ATAVT

What's more disheartening is i knew during the tests I was doing well and was proven right when the examiner read off my results that were all a high score except the ATAVT... , it was challenging sure but I felt I did ok on it clearly not so not sure where I went wrong.

I was told my successful tests are valid for 5 years and engineering test for 2.

But am I right in saying I only have one more try at this ?

Yes you will only have one more life left. However depending on what TOC they will likely make you resit all tests, with SE I failed one test and when I came to redo I had to sit all again.
Also some TOCs like SE only allow tests for 3years.

Keep your head up though and go again

The recruitment staff did say I would only have to complete part 2 driving assessment again and assured me I wouldn't have to do the engineering or part 1 tests but who knows.

You will only reset what you failed on. The tests you pass will stay for the duration that they said. Hopefully something comes back and you get in soon.
