Extremely Poor Rail condition on the Devon banks!!

Have just arrived in to plymouth, 1hr and 32 mins late! after battling Rattery Bank at no more than 5 MPH with serveral stops!! 43130 and 43152 working 1C89 1706 London Paddington to Penzance struggled to gain grip due to the severe rail conditions! i'd never seen a train go up that bank so sloww! Also 43130 was sparking as Metal and metal went together! On arrival at plymouth finally, i heard that the up london 1A35, stopped on Hermadon and the driver had to get out and put sand down!! just to get to the top of the bank! and this all after a day of Signal Failures and a 50mph TSR! As the dispatcher said at plymouth "after 8pm is all went pair shaped!!:roll:"

Well 1A35 1737 Penzance to Paddington was 8 late at plymouth, 85 late at Totnes, 158 late at Newton Abbott, did not call at Bristol or Bath and is 189 late at Chippenham due 2211 actual 0120, now expected Paddington at 0241 instead of 2336.

yee i saw that! most proberly struggled with Dainton bank aswell

What time did it get in to paddington? it got in much later than 0241, it was only at reading then!

1A35 got into Paddington at 0308, due 2336 so 212 minutes late.
1A78 (the 0840 ply-Padd) was 41 late through Totnes, just left Westbury still 41 down.
Most trains only losing about 5 minutes now.

just took a look and it appears it had actually stuggled up Hemerdon!
41 Minutes late by Totnes!

The train after it 1A16 09:50 Plymouth to London Paddington due 1353 has not appeared to have stuggled, was a bit late at Ivybridge due to i think being held at Red signal, maybe failed or maybe just being told about bad rail conditions ahead?

Looking by the pictures on the dawlish sea the weather is quite bad and affecting quite alot of services yesterday.
