I am off to the challenge cup final at Wembley on Saturday and wondered if there were any extra services running with the WCML closed. I am looking at travelling on Chilterns (instead of LM) but wondered about special trains in general.

Looking at RTT there are STP Z paths for trains to and from Marylebone but cant find anything going north. Are the loco hauled sets in service to offer extra capacity? Can anyone provide any information?

The extra loco-hauled sets are in operation, and I noticed that most services are calling at Wembley Stadium, including the one I was hoping to get to Bicester North (the 09:10 off Kidderminster) but it is calling at Wembley instead. Here are the hauled diagrams.

0629 SBJ MYB, 1306 MYB BMO, 1555 BMO MYB, 1806 MYB BSW.
0712 KID MYB, 1106 MYB BMO, 1355 BMO MYB, 1706 MYB BSW.
0910 KID MYB, 2036 MYB BMO.

Surely it'd be better for all extras coming down the ECML with fans making their own way to Wembley via tube.
Given that its Leeds & Cas this would make sense, perhaps the same train. Us rugby fans aren't like football fighters you know ;)

However, you must remember that fans from all teams come to watch the challenge cup final so perhaps a couple of NW trains wouldn't go amiss

No trains on the Aylesbury- Marylebone via Amersham service all Bank Holiday weekend. The Wycombe likely to be very busy.
