Given that the only non-Thameslink services at Blackfriars are around a dozen Southeastern arrivals and departures per day, having everything (else) there being Thameslink makes sense. In Cambridge's case, Great Northern were already serving various shared stations from Moorgate or King's Lynn anyway.
