I'm part of the UK Government's efforts to increase UK exports. I'm also passionate about the UK's expertise in the railway sector.
One area we think there is more opportunity to sell more products and services is to Turkey (Türkiye) and countries in Central Asia. The Government can make support available to encourage countries to buy from us. From our discussions, we know that there is significant demand to buy from the UK.
Part of what my team does is to provide information to UK businesses (from the biggest international companies with bases in the UK, through to individuals providing consultancy services). On 6 March 2025, we'll be running a webinar aimed at UK industry professionals, to let you know about the opportunities now and in the near future in Turkey.
