Expired RTVs

In June 2008, I made a journey with NXEC which was severely delayed. Submitted a DR form immediately. No reply forthcoming. Sent several letters and phone calls but it took them until September to acknowledge any of them - they claimed that they were moving offices so did not have time to answer calls etc (!). Eventually, I received the vouchers for the refund at Christmas 2008 - but they had been printed on 23/08/08, so what they were doing in the interim I don't know. Since I had no use for them at that time (they would have been used within days had they come when they were supposed to) they were put on a side and discovered today.

Obviously they are now out of date but has anyone had any luck in getting them re-issued? Had NXEC bothered to send them out within the 15 days they are supposed to, I would have received them and used them. Because I didn't receive them for about 6 months after they were supposed to be, I didn't have any immediate use for them.

Also, I assume that East Coast would be the person to speak to, even though the problem occured when National Express were screwing us over?

I found some buffet vouchers that are also that old.

I doubt there's anything that can be done now, but maybe someone will come along to put me right!

As a general rule they are never re-issued. However, if you explain the situation re. their delay and subsequent lack of travelling (perhaps say you were abroad?) they may consider an exception in your case. Unlikely, but you won't lose anything to ask!
