Expensive Advance Tickets - Advice

Hi, I need to travel from Chester to Milton Keynes Central on the 20/02/11 (Sunday) and return on 24/02/11 (Thursday). Even though the advance tickets have just come out they are more expensive than usual. They are around £25 each way compared with the normal £9. When I look at the prices for 3 weeks earlier, they are the usual £9. Is there a reason for this, maybe the timetable is not yet finalized? Will they get cheaper in a few weeks? Should I book them now or wait a few weeks to see if they get any cheaper? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

I think that week is the school half term holiday (it is that week in Hertfordshire though other counties may vary) so there will be more demand than normal.
If anything the prices will rise quickly so book asap.

They won't get cheaper if they are released.

Off Peak Singles (not available singly - simple ) are £26.60 for this journey, so don't pay any more than that per leg on an Advance ticket! An Off Peak Return is £53.20 on any route.

Chester-Crewe is £12.20 for an Off Peak Return (SVR) valid any train any day rtn within 1 month.

Then Crewe-Milton Keynes is £13.00 for a Super Off Peak Return (OPR) on London Midland Only if the times suit.
