Never saw it filled to anywhere near capacity.

Didn't Birmingham International gain an extra platform? Platform 1 certainly gives the impression of being an after thought.

No, Birmingham International was built that way. The extra platforms were for special trains for events at the National Exhibition Centre.

No, Birmingham International was built that way. The extra platforms were for special trains for events at the National Exhibition Centre.

As well as the single-sided platform on the Down side, space was left for a similar platform on the Up side, however it has never been provided (so far....)
