Exit mid route

I have a season ticket between Cheshunt and Liverpool St.

I went to Stratford from Cheshunt one day and was told that I couldn't exit there as Stratford is not a London Terminal.

I use my ticket to get off at Tottenham Hale for the tube and I don't get this grief.

A colleague asked GA held line if the Stratford exit was ok and they said yes.

Any idea why this is so complicated and if it is allowed how do I discuss it at the exit barrier at Stratford with someone who is having a bad day....

A season ticket offers the holder unlimited travel between the origin and the destination during its period of validity. A season ticket also offers the holder unlimited travel to/from any intermediate station along any permitted route between the origin and the destination.

I suggest writing to Greater Anglia Customer Services about the issue. Of course it helps if you got the name but if not, just detail when you were there and they should be able to work out who was on duty. I would ask what steps they are going to take to ensure that there will not be a repeat occurrence.

"I'll let you off this time" is often used as a euphemism for "I could be wrong" or "I am no longer completely certain".
