Exeter to Ipswich via London

Looking at visiting a mate in Ipswich at the end of November and considering using the train rather than sit in a traffic jam on the M25. On looking on the National Rail Journey Planner, I can get the journey for as cheap as £30 each way doing Exeter-Paddington, underground and Liverpool St- Ipswich.

There is no mentioning of whether or not the tickets include the underground or whether I would have to buy a separate underground ticket to cross London. Could anyone please clarify for me?

If it is a through ticket then yes, it will include cross-London transfer on the underground.
