Exeter - Okehampton Sunday service

Hi all,

Does anyone know wheather the SUNDAY service from Exeter-Okehampton is up and running.

Is it the Class 31 top and tailed between MkII as I saw hinted on the front of Railways Illustrated a while back.

Hope so, worth a visit!!!!!!

No. FGW service with their crew and unit (as has always been the case).
DCR services may get off the ground in 2011, subject to replacement Unitary Authority funding (prob. unlikely)

I was lucky enough to get this service from Okehampton last year when they ran it on a Sunday then - but it was a class 144 - although I have to say it suited the line pretty well and the refurbed FGW units are pretty tidy too (well, were last year at least :P)

To be precise now I look at the pics, it was 143 619 - look and feel pretty good considering they are single axle Pacers

supposedly DCR can't get drivers for the trains was what I heard as to why they didnt get up and running in the end.
