Just a quickie for the excess experts:

If I buy a Super Off Peak Return from Hereford to London, can I excess just the outbound portion to an Off Peak Return, leaving the return portion as a Super Off Peak?

Cheers.

If there is an alternative route available for this flow which only has Off-Peak fares, and the fare happens to ease the restriction then I think it can be done based on the change of route excess procedure.

Unless it is being done as a change of route or over-distance, then the machine will automatically charge the difference between Super-off-peak return and Off peak return, even if only one part of the journey is being excessed.
