Ex-Virgin coaches in ADJ

good few of these in Newport's Alexandra dock Jnc. sidings today. couple looked bad with graffiti and broken windows. anyone know what is to become of them?

looked to be mk2 in virgin livery with the virgin name obviously removed. funnily enough, some of this type of coach livery were on the 66 hauled scenic Wales tour last Sat

Could they possibly be a further sale to New Zealand? When you consider how many Mk2s have already made their way over there...

Did they have wooden panels where the doors should be? Were there four of them? There were four coupled to some wagons at Didcot at lunchtime. Doesn't solve the mystery though, sorry!

Ah, So that's where theyve gone - they were sat in Eastleigh south yard on monday morning...

Sounds like there ex Rivera, Ex Virgin Mk2s going for scrap, unfortunatly...

They were heading for scotland, where exactly I cannot remember sorry. mk2's and they did have wooden panels in place of some of the doors.

A mate of mine told me about them on Tuesday, we too were unsure about them, he did say they had wood covering the doorways. They certainly weren't there when I went passed yesterday.

All I could think of was
a) Stripped for spares and going to Caerwent (?) for scrap.
b) Going for export

don't know what happened to the doors, but I did notice they were inside the carriages
