I don't think the 321s make it into the Birmingham area at all now. Fairly sure the ex Silvrlink services are 100% Cl 350s now.

Certainly some peak time Northampton to London services are still 321s and the new peak hour Watford - Euston I think are 321. Also the Abbey Flyer (Watford St Albans) is usually a 321.

there are still a few 321's going to birmingham 1053 ex brum rings a bell.

point two there were two lists in the 321's when i worked on them, there was the old list 1992 ish all codes from 001 through to 999, then there was the secfcond list done by silverlink that had two rows/about 20 destination codes on.

always remembed 016 = bedford, and 143 which was intercity, 252= southend air show

Dont see many in Birmingham but if you are after 321 moveage then 321`s do

Euston-Tring
Watford Jn- St Albans Abbey

More often than they do the euston-new street run

You may also get them in Northampton but I cant confirm on that one, just all down to luck these days, there was a set in Northampton Sidings on sat and a Silverlink liveried set was on the St Albans run, LM liveried on the Tring run.

As for a pic of the destination, how bout an LM to Southend? http://rusty-264.fotopic.net/p62568701.html

That Pic was taken in december after the timetable change and it was just after 0900 on a Monday

I believe there are now two peak-only diagrams plus the Abbey branch using 321s on LM, which go no further north than Northampton.

Ex-BY machines rampant in East Anglia though!

From the UKModernEMU Yahoo group

LM 321 workings down to the bare minimum. Five diagrams and no off peak work except St Albans.

2x321
07:12 Bletchley - London Euston
18:05 London Euston - Northampton

2x321
06:20 Milton Keynes - London Euston
08:24 London Euston - Milton Keynes
09:47 Milton Keynes - London Euston
17:14 London Euston - Tring
18:00 Tring - London Euston
18:54 London Euston - Milton Keynes

+ the Abbey Flyer Watford Jn - St Albans Abbey

Of course these are the diagrams but reality may differ....

Can anyone confirm whether the (1053 Bham N St - London Euston) is formed of a 321 service, as in another thread the

0916 Bham N St - Coventry
1011 Coventry - Bham N St
1053 Bham - London Euston are booked class 321 units!

Also can anyone get me a picture of the destination code list that is currently in the cabs of the London Midland / ex silverlink class 321`s please?

Nope no more. No 321s now go north of Northampton.

And I'm sure that if someone could, they would already have made an attempt to. To the best of my knowledge, there are only two people who sign them on these forums, and both of them work for NXEA. The chances of them coming across them are slim, but increasing!

Try sendinng a polite e-mail to LM, when I did it with XC asking for the HST diagrams they gave them to me.

worth a try, and im sure the 321 I saw was the 0916 off new street

First diagram is a prime one for being caped in the very likely event LM don't have enough traincrew / control are having a party / the wind is blowing / someones got lost etc etc etc.....

Second one 415/417 this morning.

Yup - got picked up by 415/417 yesterday evening, which I wasn't expecting! Failure earlier in the day caused hilariously late running. Gave Sarah a fit at Euston when it transpired the 1854 back to MK hadn't even arrived although it was gone 1900, and "would passengers please join the train now, as it is ready to leave" - great fun!

The St Albans Abbey line service at present will only be run by a 321, whether they decide to run a 350 in the future we'll have to wait and see.

The 07:55 Watford to Euston shuttle Mon-Fri is run by an 8 car unit. Theres usually a few lying around doing nothing because when the Abbey unit fails they're pretty sharpish to bring replacement units down.

Still only got 411 and 412 in LM livery, thats all gone very quiet recently.

When I was at Stratford on saturday an Ex-Silverlink Class 321 came rushing through towards Liverpool Street, it didn't have any branding on either.

Thats perfectly normal, it could of been any one of 8 of the 17 ex Siverlink units NXEA have received off of London Midland

(6 have been repainted or are in the process, 8 remain in Silverlink colours, 3 haven't made it to NXEA yet and in store at Eastleigh)
