Ex-Mersey Rail 142s

Does anybody know the dates of when the Ex-Mersey Rail 142s were repainted into Northern Rail livery?

There was certainly still a yellow one around in October last year, along with a few Central green 158s.

I've not seen any for a while. Some used to run on the Cumbrian coast line in yellow. But the last one I saw was in 2002 I think...

Of what I could gather, the last unit was shopped out in Northern Rail livery sometime in June/July 2008 but I don't know when the others were though.

It' just I have a picture of a UID 142 in Mersey Rail livery and I wanted to ID but as yet I haven't been able to.

It was definitely later than that. There was still 1 around when I moved up to Sheffield, and that was Sept. 09.

I'm pretty sure I saw a yellow 142 at York about a month ago. Think it was stabled in platform 7.

All the former MerseyRail 142s were repainted by early this year so it wouldnt have been one at York a month ago

The first 142 I saw in Northern Rail livery was an ex-FNW 142, then I saw a Merseytravel one in Northern livery less than a week later. This was around June/July 2007.
