Location
South Liverpool
Travelling from Preston to MK Central on 19/06/09 on the 1958 departure (train originates at Preston and runs through to Euston)

Any idea what kind of first class service I can expect to recieve? Their site is being fickle and not letting me on

The all-day menu consists of very good sandwiches, pretzles and iced gourmet muffins, all served along side hot and cold drinks, including alcohol.

The sandwich selection consists of one meat/fish sandwich option, and a second vegetarian sandwich option.

I hope this is of use. :)

VT doesn't do supper as such anymore.

Are you referring to the Primo supper?

If you are, it was only available on selected Pendolino Primo services, all north of Preston, so i'm afaid it wouldn't be offered on a Preston to Euston service.

The Evening Meal offer is available on selected trains departing their originating station between around 16:00 and 19:00 every weekday. (excluding bank holidays etc)

I would politely guide you towards VT timetables, to see which services offer the evening meal if you are interested, but the VT website appears to be down at the moment..

I'm really tempted to put together a site detailing the perks of First Class across all the TOCs for reference. Good idea, or not?

A good idea indeed. In many cases I would not pay for First Class given what I'm upgrading to, but in others it's clearly worthwhile for those who can/want to pay that bit more. The websites are confusing on FC, so telling us what you actually get would be a good idea :)

7pm seems very early to stop serving dinner to me, I would say it should continue to eight at least.
