Euston to Glasgow off-peak return

I am planning to return from London to Glasgow this month, but I would like to break the journey at various places.

Would the ticket be valid to get off at Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke, Manchester and Preston? And is it valid on XC? It is to make the moneys worth for such an expensive trip.

I see the outward has no BoJ valid but its the return I am talking about.

I have done a similar journey before with the same ticket (with a priv discount), boarding a Euston-Manchester service, going from Manchester-York (needed a new ticket for this part) and York-Glasgow.

Think the order of the stations is fine if travelling Northbound on the return portion of a Glasgow Cen/QST->London Terminals Off Peak Return ticket.

Travel using XC should be fine between Reading and Birmingham and then onwards to Manchester Piccadilly.

A couple of questions...

• Do any e-ticketing apps potentially give users grief if making multiple breaks of journeys (by marking the return portion of the ticket as expired at the end of the first day it's been used)?

• Is the ticket in question definitely valid for split travel part via WCML and then (further on) part via ECML?

eTickets don't have to be held in an app, although many find it more convenient to do so. However, an app should be passive in doing nothing more than displaying the ticket.

It is, but the OP specified a London to Glasgow one.

You can't move between different Permitted Routes, but the list of stations doesn't require that (though what the OP did before I think may do?)

Ah yes, "to return from London to Glasgow", I read that as "a return from London to Glasgow" despite reading it several times!
