Euston Ticket Office

Hi there,
I need to buy a last-minute Railcard early on Monday morning before 06:30 for use on an Avanti train from Euston.
I have a Gold Card, thus entitling me to buy it for £10 in person, hence not buying it online.
(Also, the person it is for would need a physical one to travel with anyway).
The ticket office opens at 06:00 apparently.
Can anybody vouch for the reliability of this please?

(I used to use the Paddington one as there was a 24 hour window in situations like this but that appears to no longer exist).

I can't vouch for Euston as I don't use it sadly. I don't think there is a WMR ticket office there anymore. St Pancreas International opens at 05.45. I assume this is the EMR office. Not sure if the Thameslink office opens sooner.

Kings Cross or Marylebone won't be of any use as they open either at the same time or later then Euston so maybe you have to take your chances with Euston.

Is there no way you can't get to any booking office on Sunday to be sure?

I'd completely forgotten about STP opening at 05:45! I'd even looked it up and written it down!
Sunday isn't a go-er unfortunately.
Intend to get to Euston at 6, so if need be could pop over to STP, the train actually leaves around 06:45, just allowing 15 mins to get on it with luggage etc.

I would get to St Pancras for 5.45 to do it, using Kings Cross which opens at 6am, as a back up. The reason I say this is because although Euston is listed as the booking office opening at 6am, it also says: "Advance bookings: Mon - Fri 0630 - 2100 Sat- 0830 - 2100 Sun 0730 - 2100" and I would hate for them to say they can only issue tickets for immediate travel and you have to wait until 6.30 to buy a Railcard.

I agree with what has been said above.

I would head for Kings Cross/St Pancras where there is a choice of three ticket offices (LNER at Kings Cross and EMR/Thameslink at St Pancras)
If none of these can assist you could try Euston but failing that if you absolutely need a railcard I'd purchase one online at full orice and forgo the £20 discount you can get using your Gold Card.

I recently purchased a digital railcard via the Trainsplit app - very, very simple. Whole transaction took less than a minute.

I'm assuming the OP will be walking from Euston to STP ticket office. It's only a few hundred yards along Euston Road, turning left into Midland Rd. Even with luggage, is probably quicker/easier/cheaper than descending into the tube. (Unless it's raining/snowing heavily!)

The fastest walking route from St Pancras to Euston is via Dangoor Walk and Doric Place. Google Maps says a 10 minute walk.

However, the path along the side of the Francis Crick Institute is closed at the moment, so it would be necessary to go down to Brill Place which will add a couple of minutes. It's still the quickest and most pleasant route though.

Good point. I didn't think it was a 'full time' closure. I'll be walking between STP and EUS later today so will report back.

A couple of weekends ago both Dangoor Walk and Brill Place were closed (a rather large crane was operating in Brill Place) forcing a diversion via the park in Brill Place.

Just checked and it is closed so a short diversion via Brill Place is required.

Just to report due to delay getting to Euston by buses we didn't have time to go the STP/KGX but thankfully the Euston Ticket Office was up and running and selling Railcards with no issues when we got there at around 06:10 if that helps anybody in the future.
