Euston Station at Night

Hello, I think this is the right area of the forum to post thois.
I am undertaking a journey that would involve me arriving in Euston at 0114 on a train from birmingham, waiting there for 3.75hrs and then getting on the 0500 tube train from Euston Square to Liverpool street. What i want to know is:

Is Euston station concourse and waiting area open all night.

Is sleeping there for a few hours safe?

Is what i propose even possible?

ANy info greatly appreciated

I assume it's like Manchester Piccadilly.
The main part of the station is open for waiting around purposes but the platforms are shut.
Not sure about sleeping, depends how many dodgy characters are around

I recently waited four to five hours at Euston from roughly 0330, having walked from the vicinity of Charing Cross after night out and the shutters on the station building were down till about 0600, but that was a sunday morning so yeah......
In the end I picked my bag up from left luggage and boarded the first train back to Manchester, never realised how awesome snake is to have on a phone for long waits till I got a new phone that didn't have it.

I've had a room from travelodge next to euston for 4 hours when between trains.
Give the receptionist a good time too!

euston station is closed overnight.

Sleep at st pancrtas instead

I had a mate who missed the last connection out of Charing X after arriving in Euston at 2345 on a train from Stockport.

He spent a few hours in McDonalds, then spent the rest of the time walking around. He said he wasn't keen on going back to Euston, bit dodgy round there he added.

I must admit I would not have fancied sleeping in Euston, even if I was young! I'm far too old for such things now, but even in my youth I would have far too worried about undesirables in the area.

Would it not be best getting the night bus to Liverpool street? Not sure where you are heading to from there.

I had to get to Stanstead from Liverpool St a good few years ago. Arrived last train into Eus from B'ham and it was closed overnight.

Where are you going to from Liverpool Street? You'd probably be better off getting the Night Bus to Liverpool Street, walking or even cycling to Liverpool Street rather than hanging around Euston!

205 bus Euston-Liverpool Street (24 hours service, half hourly during the night). Don't wait in the bus station, it's going the wrong way. You need to cross Euston Road in front of the station

The 205 towards Liverpool Street goes from stop D in the bus station. It is for heading Westbound (ie. towards Paddington) you need to cross the road.
