Euston - New St. to go 6tph from September

From September, London Midland will be running three times per hour from Euston to New Street via Northampton giving a total of six trains per hour between the two stations. There is actually very little additional train running as the service enhancement has been made possible by:

1. Combining the Bham - Northampton service with the Crewe - London at Northampton (as happens on Saturdays already). There is an unfortunately a 17 minute dwell at Northampton for this southbound

2. the Bham - Coventry stopper has been extended to Northampton and then joined with the Leighton Buzzard express

The upshot of the changes means that the following frequencies will now apply:

[stn]MKC[/stn]-[stn]BHM[/stn] - 4tph

Actually happening then, people were getting very twitchy about the performance of it all.

I'm glad to see it, the LM super off peak return is excellent value for when advance tickets just won't do.
