Yesterday problems began with the shuttle trains having no airco. Problems that became a waiting game of at least 5 hours on both sides if you wanted to go. Some reservations for certain ticket have been cancelled on Friday (today). It seems that the Eurostar is not affected.

Extremely busy day for E* in any case , special queuing systems in place at St Pancras though I think the service ran well enough. This heat has been crippling - but as I speak we have had some welcome rain.

According to our dumbed down (free) London Evening paper , passengers heard about the shuttle problems and turned up early for their booked E* trains. Hence the congestion ! ...
