Does anybody else on this forum find it incredibly difficult to buy Eurostar tickets on their website? Over the past four days on two different computers I've made six attempts, all of which have failed (two got as far as the 'confirm payment' stage). My mate had trouble at weekend; and this is not the first time.

If I ring up, will it be more expensive (Donny-Any Belgian Return), and will I then have to pick up Eurostar tickets at St Pancras, or pay more to get them posted.

Never have this trouble with Ryanair, Wizz, Cityjet etc. or for that matter any UK rail ticket-booking sites.

Should be the same price by phone. Last time I booked Eurostar tickets I don't think I got the choice of getting them posted to me.

What browser are you using, tried another?

Thanks.

IE. I'll try another computer at work tomorrow, then I'll ring if it doesn't work.

Tried six more times including dowloading Google Chrome on two different computers, didn't get past first search. Just got off phone to an incredibly helpful man called James who has booked me on for £2 less than quoted on web last night including ticket delivery. Bizarre.

I've experienced the same problem on several occasions, using Firefox (but I don't think it's a browser problem). For some reason, the very final payment stage fails and instead of a confirmation email I just get an email telling me the transaction was unsuccessful.

On the most recent occasion this happened to me three times in succession, causing me to worry that my card might actually have been debited with almost £1200, and so I went to St. Pancras ticket office in person. The clerk could see the failed transactions on her system but couldn't offer an explanation for the failures. She then tried to charge me the higher fare for buying at the station but, after a brief chat with her supervisor, allowed me to buy at the internet rate.
