Eurostar ticket conundrum.

My wife and I had booked retired staff Eurostar tickets from London to Paris tomorrow for our return to Italy.

For various reasons we had to postpone our departure until the same train the following day. I had no problems changing the reservations using the Eurostar app, but both Aztec codes for the new tickets came back together side-by-side, with no facility for sharing to my wife's phone.

Could anyone please tell me how we get through the barriers one-at-time, or will we have to go to see a person?

I'm not by any means a technophobe, but I'm not hugely knowledgeable in these matters!

Many thanks in advance! ;)

I’m not sure what the barriers are like for Eurostar, but I would imagine you will be able to scan the first code and let your wife through then do the same with the other code for yourself. Take care to scan separate codes though.

The check-in staff are friendly in my experience and will help you out if you have any issues using the gates, so I wouldn't worry.

Pass the phone to your wife before you go through the gate.

On an iPhone you can add both tickets to the wallet on your phone, open your wife's in the wallet and click the box with the up arrow at the top of the screen. This will give you a variety of options to share the ticket, I usually use WhatsApp. This also works for most other tickets.

**Also - just thought, when I have changed reservations for self and wife in the Eurostar app it has usually updated the tickets already saved to each of our wallets. Have you checked that it's not done this for you?

The ticket kiosks by the Eurostar ticket office in St Pancras will allow you to print out a ticket booked online. You just need your booking reference (six letters) and surname.

Yes it's fine. Just scan your wife's ticket so she can go through then scan yours. I did exactly that last week.

Most people do this. You scan your wife through first, then once she is through, scan yourself through.

No need to worry about passing a phone back or such.
