Eurostar ends lounge access for Avantage members

From 12 August, Avantage members of Club Eurostar will no longer have lounge access for any journeys. They could previously access the ex-Thalys lounges just outside the stations at Paris Nord and Brussels Midi-Zuid.

No surprises there given the contempt for customers Eurostar has. First they devalued points hugely when they launched the current version of Club Eurostar (single ticket going from 600 to 1000 points) and now they've made Avantage no different to normal except for a little reward point bonus which doesn't counteract the aforementioned devaluation. I made a large number of Eurostar journeys this year to ensure I kept in the Avantage level. I won't do the same next year.
