Eurostar e300 or e320?

Hello all, I am aware that this has been discussed previously on the website, but I was just wondering if there is any possible way to ascertain what class of train will be operating a particular Eurostar journey. On the Eurostar website FAQ section for the e320, it mentions that they are unable to call at Ashford International due to incompatibilities with the signalling system(https://faq.eurostar.com/faq/uk-en/...s-stop-at-Ashford-and-Ebbsfleet-International). As I fancy travelling on an e300, this would be very useful information Is this still the case or has the signalling system since been upgraded?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment I think if you travel from Ashford you should get an e300. However if you want absolutely definite confirmation trainline Europe will tell you.

The seating arrangements on Eurostar's site are different, although I don't recall how.

Is this still the case or has the signalling system since been upgraded?

KVB will eventually be installed around Ashford International, but I don't think it's in place yet. According to SYSTRA the new signalling system should be implemented by February 2018 (October 2016), but according to the HS1 network statement funding hasn't been secured yet (March 2017).

So for the foreseeable future you can be sure that you'll be riding an e300 if the train calls at Ashford.
