Hello iv been working with southwest trains a month now and i am loving it its great. one of the best benefits iv been told about but don't no much is free or discounted rail in Europe after a years service. for me this is great news as we had planed to travel around Europe for a two week back packing trip hitting as many country's as we could manage.
we have not set any routes are places in stone apart from we would like to go places in eastern europe as iv heard its still cheap there.
the reason i am putting out this topic is to find out advice on prices places and routes and what discount we could get i always plan ahead well in advance to detail for all my trips

I'm not 100% sure on this, but after a quick Google search to see what ATOC say I've found this link.

I've also found this link from Deutsche Bahn about it - don't worry it's in English

Poland is great, good beer, tasty birds, & nice towns & cities e.g. Krakow, Breslau, Danzig, & Poznan. Even Warsaw is on the up. Note well that trains are frightfully slow in Poland. Don't forget Germany - prices are on a par with the UK and they have a top notch transport network.

If you are keen how about Lwow/Lviv/L'vov/Lemberg/Leopol (it's the same city just in different languages) in Ukraine? It was the capital of Eastern Gallicia under the Austro - Hungarian Empire up to 1918 and was sort of a sister city to Krawow (capital of Western Gallicia).

No free travel in Ukraine - but you would qualify up to the border (it's well cheap in Ukraine for trains though anyway)

I work out European trips for my colleagues here in Scotland so could easily rough you out an itenerary. Remember that too much travel can ruin a great trip! Factor in 2 - 3 day breaks every so often. That said there is nothing to stop you making local day or half day excursions from your chosen base.

that sounds good mate towards Poland Romania hungry way i am thinking of going is flying in to the country and returning by train. a ruff itinerary would be fantastic from there i can look into accommodations and local attractions many thanks for your reply

Polish Inter City/PKP trains between Warsaw and Krakow/Katowice are reasonably fast but elsewhere it's usually pretty slow
