37 are good a hauling unit's for scrapp or moving them around the network.

So much for climate change! 90018 and 040 could be available as they are WQAA and 90030 is apparently in a decent condition. Some scrap moves and emu haulage could be done at least partially with a 90.

I meant this particular 37. As the Belmont-Newport moves stop for staffing in London anyway, they could change locos at Wembley...First point: loco changes en-route are operationally very inconvenient, and scrap moves are at the extreme end of marginal railway activity, there's no fat available when bidding for this work.
As for your second point, I can't wait for a 37 to be preserved.

It might be a little late but the working was turned back at Chesterfield due to issues with 901s field diverts, not sure when it will return.All being well 37901 will be out again tomorrow on a loaded test run. It will have 37608+800 and every available barrier wagon!

I've not heard of 37901 doing anything for ROG recently... last I heard it was at Leicester but may be wrong.
Not up to date on it since 37901 did a test run with a ROG 37 - maybe Leicester-Barrow Hill and back, but I thought it ended up at Barrow Hill for further fettling.
