Does anyone have any recommendations for European spotting books? I need somewhere to properly record sights and haulage from my Interrail trip earlier this year (and for future trips!). Something like Platform 5's range of books would be nice, but very pricey! Are there any cheaper alternatives, possibly more up-to-date than some of the Platform 5 books?

I currently need (in order of importance) Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands (and possibly France).

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot, a book for Spain might be useful as I have some records from a few years ago

I find Spotlog brilliant as an "on the fly" spotting tool, but it is rather limited if you head outside Western Europe. Sweden and Denmark are both not included for example.

With the UK spots, I log them with Spot Log then go through with a highlighter in the Rail Guide. Would be nice to be able to do that for other places also.

For some countries even finding a stock list or stock numbers online is quite difficult.
