With Euromillions jackpot now estimated to reach £154m for the next draw, record numbers of customers are expected to get a ticket.

So....

What would you do with £154m??

(Interest monthly would be around £500,000 according to some sources).

I know people say charity etc, but I would probably donate the interest to charity, and keep the capital £154m and buy several companies within the rail industry.

I would pimp-up a pacer and attach Kenworth 20.6L Quad turbocharged V12 engines to each carriage and do burn-outs at Wigan Wallgate

I'd wire a load of 142s up for remote control, put HST engines in each carriage and go Pacer jousting

£154m?

I'd go on a massive year long holiday travelling right across the world, then buy a Lamborghini and a HST. I'd set up my own Private TOC operating special fast services. The HST's would be refurbished to my liking, with lots of interesting and modern features. :)

On top of that, I'd buy tickets to every F1 race next year.

Finally, I'd go down to TNT post, put my pay cheque in a can, set the can on fire and walk out of the building!

SS4, do you want to teach him the error of his ways or shall I ;)

Meh. Obviously if i Could afford it id put up a big wall all round Birmingham and make you all have passports and language lessons.

And then laugh once you get your hated rivals manager. Because it is that funny.

But we have a sense of humour so yeah it is quite funny.
And at least if Birmingham had a wall around it we could keep people with snobby attitudes towards accents out ;)

I would become the new Roman Abromovic at Oldham Athletic and issue free Hollands Meat Pies to all supporters. I would hire a squad of personal trainers so that the team could resemble the second half of the team name. I would have the plastic pitch reinstalled, as this got us to be founder members of the Premier League.

While you are at it could you do something about how bloody cold it always is at Oldham games. Maybe heaters in the roof of the stand maybe !!

Give half away to several of my favourite charities. Bank the rest, and bugger off on holiday for six weeks while i decide what to do with it.

Your point is noted. A blue and white wooly hat and matching gloves would be issued to all supporters twice a year and a cup of Bovril would also be given with the Hollands Meat Pies.

There is no need for heaters as there is enough "hot air" talked at Boundary Park these days.

£154,000,000 you say ...

I'd buy a few Class 395s at £6million each - and also a few diesel locomotives to run them on unelectrified lines (probably Class 67s).

As for non train related - give money to my family and friends etc ... Buy properties in various countries around the globe .. maybe a football club as well :D

Buy myself a house overlooking the sea with a large garden with a high wall round it.

The wall would have no gates just a serving hatch where food could etc could be delivered. Once in there I would never come out.

Hmm, £154m?

Build a small house outside Edinburgh, with a double garage on the ground floor for a Passat 1.9 TDI (B5.5) (on coilovers) and a fully restored Mk1 Mini Traveller.
Give some to my friends and family.
Use the rest to supplement my income and fund the couple of other little things I'd like.

I may not want much, but I know what I want.

Im a geordie so i dont believe you could ever say i was snobby about peoples accents.

Of course, claiming you have a sense of humour and then getting bitchy about someone taking the **** about your accent isnt in the slightest ironic.

Geordie back from exile.
I wouldn't take it all at once. If it were allowed, I'd take the £54M in a lump sum then get them to pay £10M every year for 10 years. At least that way I couldn't lose the lot in one go...

With the £54M I'd buy a double decker bus and tour the country. Then I'd fly to Oz, buy a car and drive all around the coast and then through the middle, I reckon 10 months for that. I'd settle in New Zealand, somewhere on the Bay of Plenty around Tauranga.

Wouldn't do much trainwise in the UK, except perhaps a couple of all line rovers, standard class though, no point in throwing money away....:)

Ah well, we can all dream right.

My selection: 4, 10, 31, 42, 43, stars 4, 8.

And now back to reality......:p

If Birmingham had a wall around it, I would be well on my way to being a manager at work, instead of having not 1, BUT 2 BRUMMIES (!?!?!) as bosses
