See above.

Come on Sweden!

OT: I can't stand Jonathon Pearce, he belongs on robot wars where his lack of impartiality is acceptable.

I'm not in the slightest bit impressed with all this play-acting. The refs need to sort this out immediately or it'll get worse as the stakes get higher

Ireland are being ripped to shreds here. I can see the biggest win of the tournament coming up ....

Money talks, at least they are in Ukraine and Poland unlike the BBC stuck in Salford

The BBC could be broadcasting from the moon - they would still be ten times better than ITV, SKY or anyone else.

2-0 straight after half time, and I don't think Ireland have been out of their half since the second half began!

Should be 3-0 now, except Given has just pulled of a top save.

Anyway, as I was typing this lot, tha ball was breifly in the Spanish half!

A nightmare is overstating it a bit. He may have been able to keep the first goal out but Ireland have basically been beaten by the better team and a goalkeeper is only as good as the defence in front of him

Yes true , they have been exposed for what they are - the glory days of Jack Charlton are way behind them. The same has happened to Scotland (5-1 USA) Both are the result of the influx of non UK players into the Premier League who have replaced the Irish,Welsh and Scots and if your not careful the English will go the same way.

Ahem .... 8-) :P

PS. Remember Spain don't have David Villa who is still out injured.

My humble apologies only your timing was out

Absolutely incredible scenes. Never seen anything like it - it looks more like something from an American disaster movie.

Latest news is that a decision on whether to suspend the match or not is expected at 1800 - at the earliest.

Ukraine vs France suspended due to inclement weather.

I hope the fans didn't have to listen to Atos Anne warning about the inclement weather and warning that surfaces might be slippery... :D

Interesting watching the ad-lib skills of Adrian Chiles, Gordon Strachan and Gareth Sothgate, resorted to writing some work e-mails.

Apparently it will be restarting at 1800. Until we see the players on the pitch though this has to be taken at face value...

Indeed it did (or close enough anyway)

France have just had a goal disallowed for offside.

They did. Presumably to let this game finish before kick off so England and Sweden know what to play for (according to my quick calculations this game will finish around 1950 UTC+1)

Apparently, France have never won a Euros game without Platini or Zidane. After 52 years of European Championships, this statistic is finally set to change.
