Sorry but I can see nothing in that link about ERTMS.

Sounds like what ultimately became Automatic Train Protection (ATP) as used on Great Western and Chiltern Lines. Main difference I can see from what the video you kindly posted is there is no longer a continuous wire but a short section of wire prior to each signal or major PSR instead, cost saving presumably..

I seem to recall there was a section on the TV programme hosted by Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford which showed ERTMS working on the Cambrian Line... was it called "the trouble with our trains"?
