ERROR when opening Rail Simulator

Hi guys, spent half an hour installing Rail Simulator as I brought it today can't wait to play it but when trying to open it it came up an error:

ERROR: Coulld not find vaild technique for effect 64290732

Make sure your computer/laptop is supported. More importantly, that your graphics card is supported.

I have the same problem/:
I looked at the RailSimulator FAQs.. But I have the demo.
Not the whole game, cause you know.. "Free to tryin b4 money on buyin"
My question: Does it work on a demo to?

Thats a very good question really, why not have a go?

I wouldnt rely to heavily of using the Demo as a test platform. It was a 'branch' off from the main development of the game, and so technically only represents Rail Simulator at the point from which it was generated, which I believe was more than 10 months before the core simulator was even finished.

It was merely done because EA wanted another 'tick' on their 'when releasing a game' process list.

If possible its better to borrow a friends copy and see if it works before going out and buying your own copy. You may think about getting a pirated copy, but considering RailSim is less than £10 now, is it really worth the risk of infecting your PC with hacks and viruses just to save a few quid. Plus it helps RSDL produce more releases and addons in the future!

It really is worth buying now anyway, even more so at the price Lucazone has stated. Plus, there are some really good things in the pipeline for the game at the moment, my work included!

My computer fails on only one specification...the Processor.

I have the same problem, but I don't have a 'graphics' card or 'video card'.

Where can I get one of these and typically how much are they?

Bloody games arn't worth the hassle!
