What's happened to cause what looks like chaos - Clay Cross - Derby appears closed, no doubt due to engineering works, then a string of cancellations still ongoing at 14.00. Could it be due to something happening to 4090 ?

Edit - looks like it was 4090, Nat Rail gives the reason as a broken down train. Ridiculous when Toton is just a few miles away, and unless by bad luck it was between Alfreton and Pye Bridge there's a bi directional third track from Pye Bridge to Trowell

Description​

Lines have reopened following a broken down train between Alfreton and Langley Mill.

As normal service resumes, trains between Chesterfield and Nottingham / Derby may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Major disruption is expected until 14:30.

4O90 failed across Ironville Junction around 8am with 1L05 held at Alfreton, eventually getting back to Nottingham approx 4 hours late.
