I'd always thought it meant that anything that was left over after service (and had been kept at the safe temperature) could either be re-used on the next service or sent back to Rail Gourmet for re-use. I don't think it means 'If a passenger leaves a sausage on their plate bring back to kitchen reheat and serve again' ;)

You'll want to click 'Go Advanced' next to 'Post Quick Reply'. Then (take a look at the image I've attached with highlighted boxes for a visual) scroll down click 'Manage Attachments' in the new window that opens click 'Choose File' then browse like you would normally to wherever the picture is, select it, hit open then 'Upload'. Keep doing that until all the images you want are uploaded then type your post as normal and hit 'Submit Reply' as normal.

I've just tried to do it from my mobile with the pictures I've taken but when it come to the box" upload file" it flickers and when I click the tab to select my file nothing happens. Can it be done from a mobile or will I have to do the unspeakable and fire up the laptop and transfer the files? Alternatively I can email them if someone wants to PM me their email. The pictures are from the converted EMT buffet for EC. Thanks for the help btw!

Does anyone know how to contact Frying Scotsman Catering Services who work many charter trains. A web trawl draws a big blank.

Courtesy of Shedman we have these pictures of East Coast's converted EMT Mk3 buffet.

Firstly looking from the counter to the kitchen. Ovens are bottom left:

Second looking up to the counter, microwave far left, panini grill opposite:

Third is looking behind/under the counter:

Final one is "the bunk". Where the staff dump there bits and bobs:

I don't think it means 'If a passenger leaves a sausage on their plate bring back to kitchen reheat and serve again' ;)

That would be interesting, particularly if it kept getting recycled and ended up burnt <D

Has anyone get any photos of the kitchen in the Mark 1 RBR's used on railtours? I remember walking past one at Retford station a few years ago, looking inside and wishing that it was me eating the Full English that they were preparing!

There is a documentary from the 1990's based around the Kings Cross - Leeds 225 services.

Quite a few shots of a decent BR breakfast being made!

First part here..

Interesting to see all those modules in the MK4 kitchen from 6.40ish, It generally looks a lot more practical in there over the "Mallard" redesign. Obviously they now have all the "eureka" external docking points for storage.

Thank you for all your replies so far. I'm still looking for photos of Mark 1 buffet and kitchen vehicles if anyone has any or is able to take some.

Thanks

Ryan
